Floor glue solvent

What is the best solvent for the carpet glue in my 2008 Navion?
I’m removing the shag carpet. So far, I’ve pulled out the small pieces on one side of the stairs and the one vertical riser of the stairs. These pieces were glued to metal (side of stairwell and battery box). I don’t yet know what glue holds the carpet in other areas that are plywood based. I want to remove the remaining glue so I can re-floor onto a smooth clean surface. Do you know what solvent works best to remove the glue?

I used razor blades and elbow grease
Years ago my daughter asked me how to do some particularly tough cleaning job. I told her "elbow grease". "Where do I get that?" As a good Dad, I of course told her to go to the hardware store, same aisle as the left handed monkey wrenches.
