Question Folding Steps for roof access?

Stumbled on this picture today. Anyone done something similar? I like these don't hang out like a ladder. (though the ladder can be handy at camp for hanging stuff on to dry).

I briefly thought about doing something like this with climbing wall holds just for the unique look of it.

Those are cool... but at 66, not 26, I need something more to hold onto

+100 for that! I've climbed masts in the past, both with fixed and folding steps, but I was wearing a safety harness at the time, tailed by a helper using a winch!

I wouldn't want to climb those things without a top rope, either.

Yep, climbed masts plenty of times just like you but had better folding steps and safety harness than those shown here.

Cole, don't do it, they're tipsy…you'll want hand holds too if you want these. Better get a real ladder!

cheers...
