Injector Seat Cleaning

I need to clean two injector seats before installing rebuilt units. I have 95% of the carbon removed from the seats by use of non-woven cloth on the end of plastic pipe. How important is it to remove the last bit of carbon? My factory service CD recommends PN 611 589 00 68 00 end tufted brush for seat cleaning. Should I buy this brush from the dealer? Is there some other method for cleaning the seats w/o a cutting tool? Can I use Permatex 133A AntiSeize to coat the injector shafts? Thanks

Thanks again AP! I used a variation of the abrasive on a stick. Got it done and took it for a long test drive. Hot restart went great! I'll leave the cover off for a few trips so I can look for leaks.

I always wonder what to use while using that emery cloth on the injector seat to keep stuff from falling in the cylinder.

Stuff a bit of greasy rag in the hole? Coat the emery cloth with grease?
