Default engine air filter

My sprinter '07 has 10 000 miles and I decided to chenge the air filter part #000 090 26 51.Cost me $43 .Theares no menshons in owners manual when has to be chenge. The old one was not reali darty ...so ...eny thoughts?

Air filters and any other consumables are changed out depending on the conditions on how or where you drive your Sprinter.

For instance, the manual recommends changing the oil filter at 10k miles. If you run your engine hard (heavy load, pedal to the metal type runs, etc.) then changing the oil at an earlier time probably would not hurt.

If your air filter is dirty and it makes you feel comfortable, I would do it.
