Default What is the Function of these part ?

Hi

When i'm looking at left of engine side on ncv3 diesel engine , at left on manifold i can see a round plastic vaccum link ,connected to a metallic swivel close to firewall .

i'm asking this , because the braket was a little bit torn ,and stuck on screw head of manifold.

Now it's act free , it's can move like the way it's suppose to be .

It is a little vacuum motor to regulate flow in the EGR cooler (that's what it is mounted to). It being free is better than it not being free...so good find!

I had a.....2008 NCV3 (badged as Freightliner) 170wb ext body 6 foot roof. 12 feet for cargo, 42 inch bunk sealed off from the back, battery powered A/C and 120 v power and Air Tabs! Flettner Roof Vent....but it's gone.

298,000 km on the clock (06/22/11). Valvoline SynPower MST, Shell ATF134

Now driving a CargoMax 600.
