Question Dashboard switches

I did a search for them on here (replacements) and came up with nothing, my question is there anything that snaps into one of the 500 blanks so i do not have to add another hole for a switch?

Thank you in advance...

also to clarify, just need on/off and i need a momentary one also up/dn style

The best way is to drill out the blank and add what ever switch you want.

Mine light up amber to match the dash color. Lft to right, left cornering light, right cornering light, parrot hands free cell phone, gps. Not shown on the bottom right is a drilled out blank with a switch to my back up camera when I am not in reverse.

Regards,

Keith

Thank you for your input as it is much appreciated, though I rather have the factory look.

That is what I wanted also. I spent well over a $200 ordering different MB switches from the Dodge dealer. We could never find just a simple off and on and the switches would come with a connection plug that needed som eother part to maybe connect wires to . . . I gave up. Then the problem was finding a switch small enough to fit into the blank.

Good luck.

Regards,

Keith

I also had the same problem as Keith regarding just ordering a simple on/off switch that would be factory. It didn't exist according to the dealer. I improvised with black toggles that have an amber LED in the tip. They actually match the dash lighting perfectly.

This is all Daimler offers in terms of switches.

Your best chance at finding something that looks factory would be to go to an MB dealership and spend some time at the parts counter.

PS: attached is a complete list of Daimler part numbers and descriptions for the switches in the picture.

Simple ON-OFF do not exist. All the switches that function like an ON-OFF are Momentary types hooked up to relays or the ecu which control ON-OFF.
Grab a 240 switch and buy a relay.

That's the same picture I was using. Leaves a little to be desired. As I recall a MB switch is actually 3 parts. Perhaps someone who was familiar with relays, etc. can figure it out. Me, all know is to run a wire to ground and one to hot.

Keith

Hey Chris,
So the 845 pin has terminals for wire? Is the 240 illuminated?

Thanks,

Keith
