Default Mod: Folding Bench Headrest Storage

The James Cook Friends Forum has a thread on modifying the rear bench headrest so it opens up for storage. One poster apparently put their inverter in that space.

If anyone does on a NAFTA version, please post.

Although I have not done the headrest mod, I have done the following since we don't take passengers: fabricated a metal plate for the side of the bench seat, made the seat back to fold down, removed the cushions and affixed a white board to the cushion hinges to separate behind seat top from behind seat bottom. This affords much more storage space and space is made secure when leaving van by inserting a bolt. I can post pictures if needed.

I would be interested in how they opened that area up behind the headrest, presumably without wrecking the thing. It seemed to me that 'method used' was lost in translation. If easy, I'd consider using the area too.

Our NAFTA version may not be exactly the same.

On 10/26/18, Adrian from UK posted instructions and photos of this mod to his 2004 James Cook on the James Cook Friends Forum at above link.

If anyone does on a NAFTA version, please post. Thanks.
