Hello new to Forum. I've browsed others posts but this is my first post. I have a problem with a leaking seal on the transmission side where the drive shaft connects. I read a few other posts about the seal replacement on the rear differential and started to investigate the leak. I removed the driveshaft and got to the nut that needs to be removed. There is some kind of locator pin or dowel that is in the way of taking the nut off. I'm not sure how to remove it, all the information that I have found doesn't describe it or list the part. I'll include pictures. Sorry if they are not the best I don't have good clearance to get better pics. Lmk what you think.
