Default How to Keep Your Head Cushions from Moving

Those head cushions (headreat pads) on the Unity Recliners fly all over the place while traveling. If tbis tip has been offered before - sorry!

I tried thinking of an easy way to keep them in place, but did not want to use a bungee cord, or velcro, or anything I had to glue to either surface. The other night, I had a brainstorm and decided to test my idea by placing a piece of that anti-skid rubber padding for carpets between the cushion and the recliner seatback. Just drape a 10x10 piece over the seatback, and position the headrest pad as you normally do.

Wow! Works perfectly, even on winding bumpy National Park entry roads - like the Pothole Catastrophe that leads you to Many Glacier at Glacier National Park. No. You can't actually get into the Park there because they've had 34 straight days of closures due to overcrowding and no parking spaces. I tried twice, on days 33 and 34.

But at least I know the cushions did not move.

By the way, I use this liner in other areas of the coach, too - like small sections on certain counter surfaces to keep things from sliding around.

Good idea. We left ours at home, got tired of chasing them around.

Do you have the snaps like the 2019 UMB has in this video?

No. They must've been an add-on or not available in the 2017 Murphy Bed.

When i test drove the 2018MB it was apparent that the one that was snapped stayed put after an aggressive bump in the road but the other one we had forgot to snap slid off onto the floor. These snaps were screwed into the top of the chair and riveted to the liner of the pillow.

I think any upholstery shop could add them or you can buy them from Joanne fabrics with the tool for a DIY experience.

Seriously, This is the real story here. How are they handling sorting the day-trippers vs. those with camping reservations? Please share your story, Scarecrow!

If you have reservations at the lodge, they let you through. Not sure you can reserve at the campground. I do know Two Medicine is o ly First Come. But if Many G has reservations, then you certainly will get in. Today, I did the Red Bus Tour and Many Glacier was open with very little road traffic. But the campground was full. This was on a Friday, no less. There was very little parking along the Going to the Sun road. That Tour was great and well worth the $100. I loved the West Side.

The next five days or so are supposed to have great weather here. I will be going to Whitefish for the Arts Festival this weekend. And maybe Big Fork.
