Dodge 3.3 V6 (seems to be Dodge Caravan base)

Dodge Caravan 3.3L V6 running gear. The rear end is different with a mechanical lever load distribution for the brakes and swing arm suspension.

The body is custom, but they used many common parts found in other walk-in vans. The front lift up hood is fiberglass.

Built by AMF Harley Davidson for USPS Mail Truck service. I recall that somehow they lost the contract which they thought they had so not too many were built. Only made for a few years.

I owned one. It is good for lighter hauling. Nice inside space, but not much more than a T1N 158, maybe even 140 SHC. Bounced down the road like the truck it is. Handled ok. No tow capacity to speak off.

Mostly I sold mine because I couldn't even tow my boat with it.


One claim to fame is in Men In Black Edgar (the bug) drove a green Aeromate around with a space ship inside.
