Iím guessing you have the wrong chip in the new key

MB does not sell "rewritable" keys ... their model is to sell a key with a new burned-in chip, and then the dealer's diagnostic system tells the Sprinter to accept it.

The key blanks you buy elsewhere in the world for after-market usage have *different electonics* inside. They're *designed* for coding the RFID chip out in the field.

I didn’t catch that. You may be able pull the chip and put a T5 chip in the keys
