Default OM642 Oil Filter Repair

Some of you folks may know that parts for the oil filter housing are not available through MB parts , consequentially you have to buy the whole filter assy.

I have now discovered that the aftermarket is selling seal kits found on places like Fleabay.

I got a set on Autoparts Pro for $19.
Part number seal RK 1720
Parts number seal RK1721.

All currently available on line

Pay attention -- there are two gaskets the OP is talking about. There is only one available from the dealer. OP is talking about the hard to find second gasket. That is available on eBay or if you can find it from Trucktec..... I cannot find the Trucktec part in the USA though and I would prefer to use it as it has some kind of brand behind it.
