Default Awning Choices for Van Body Style...

What are the current awning companies & models being offered/used for vans?

Good topic. I'm also trying to get my head around this issue. I have a 144' high roof 4x4. The side door goes all the way to the top. What I have gathered to date is: Fiamma 45s is side mounted, Fiamma 65s is top mounted? Is that correct? The Dometic has a line that does not require standing supports, which is nice (but is it strong, and can it be top mounted?). And the Thule seems to be like the Fiamma. The top mounted are really not very beautiful - especially if they are alone without a roof rack to balance out the visual, but with my high door I guess I'm limited to that? All of these are expensive as *%&$, but than again... so is more or less everything else for a van conversion. Can you mount an awning to a Thule wing bar type rack? I will be happy to follow this thread. Thanks everyone for your help in this, and every other thread on this site. Very constructive place to be.
