I am planning on shipping my 2004 2500 sprinter sold by freighliner to France with RORO shipping sine i am relocating there for work. Has anyone done it ? Do you lnow if I will need to go through the “mines” inspection ? Or can i just say it was made by mercedes and get a french title ?

Thabk you for your help.

Read this thread: https://sprinter-source.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=29298 (among others)

You may have to take the Sprinter out of the EU before a full year is up (Brexit may be your friend, Switzerland, too), but then you can (probably) bring it back in.

*Registering* it in Europe may be very difficult.

You need to get a certificate de conformitie from MB France. This normally costs a couple of hundred euros Then all the "paper work" is done online using scanned copies of your address, proof of purchase, insurance details etc.Or you can get a garage/impoter to process the paper work for a fee.I'm currently doing this for 312 from Germany to France.

You can buy one in europe cheaper than shipping it there.
