Default Any Regrets or Buyer's Remorse on Your Sprinter Purchase?

I'm picking up my 2019 144 4x4 tomorrow from the dealer after playing Sprinter Chess for a year then heading to the upfitter.

Guess I'm just looking for some online therapy from the Sprintersphere as to long-term experiences! My wife HATES the Sprinter idea - "Too expensive and we're heading into a recession....what are you thinking? This won't turn out well." She's a "resort girl" and has me really spooked after a year of planning and waiting. She's been right numerous times to her credit (guess that's why I married her).

In a year from now the production will have caught up to demand - and the market will speak as to value. Planning on keeping it for 3-5 years and maybe have 30,000 miles at that time. Kinda too late now.

Anyway, just askin'.....

What will give you more pleasure and/or cost you less money......

....getting rid of the Sprinter, or your wife?

Prior to delivery hand-over, verify the Service Department re-sets the maintenance timer. Vehicles can sit idle in inventory for long periods of time prior to being retailed.

Performing this will "reset' the time counter in the Assyst system to avoid the service indicator light from coming on prematurely shortly after the van is retailed. This is performed in a special menu by confirming vehicle handover.

Request Service department print-out AP00.20-D-0041-01H for complete procedure, and to ensure compliance.

Just drive the stupid thing and enjoy it.....you are seriously overanalyzing a van.
If you don’t like it, sell it.

If your wife doesn’t like it, have her drive or ride in something else.
Make sure to tell your wife what you think a haircut, resort, purse or massage is “too expensive” with the impending recession.

My Sprinter is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned.

*disclaimer* I'm a van guy. I could never understand why anyone would buy a car when they could have a van. I've had but two cars in nearly sixty years on the road: a Datsun 2000 (that made my wife love me) and a full-boat 74 Ford Galaxie. Because it was cheap. Quickly sold.

Frito drives beautifully, travels 600 miles on a tank, parks in a standard stall, takes me (and lets me stay at) places that most could only dream of and offers more flexibility and enjoyment than any stoopid car.

Take her to someplace like this, spend the night and then get back to us.

Regrets? HA! Zero!

It’s all relative to how much money you have to burn.

lol seriously.. I have a sprinter now and just ordered a new one.. after having a eurovan before that.. I never understand people with kids bitching about having to buy a van..

I also use my van to move a lot of plywood and framed art.. so maybe my suggestions are different but ive seen way too many people overdo a van and not be into it. Start small.. if i was going pro id get the adventure wagon paneling kit and bed and just see how I like that for a while before putting in sinks and all..

I also live on washboard roads and everything in the van means another rattle.. it gets old.

keep it simple.. adding is easy.. subtracting is also...but you'll lose a lot of money in the process.

Plus, when (not if) the $hit hits the fan, and the 3% take back you home, at least you have a Sprinter to live in.
