Default 02 freightliner sprinter 2500 loose cable behind bumper

Hey guys so I joined this site and so far it's been very helpful, I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this. So I pulled the bumper of my 2002 sprinter 2500 and when I finally got it off I noticed this cable hanging loose. It was behind the bumper. Can anyone tell me what it's for and where does it attach to?

Does it have a little sensor on the end of it? it is the outside temp sensor and fits into a small cutout in the front bumper. Look at the inside of the bumper.
