I've seen those around the San Francisco Bay Area too. Very nice.

Nice to see the US having a go at the Sprinters,it may well pay them to take a little trip down on the other side of the boarder to MEDICO it would also pay them to put those crash bars up front, in either alloy or ABS plastics.Aus ambos cover 95% of the market nowadays Must keep Damlier happy I guess.
Also change the rear step..set up.
Richard.

They look like nice little rescue trucks. Up here at the Fire Department in which I work, the only rescue-style truck is a mid-80's International DOT truck which has been "converted" with the pretty lights and siren.

I would like to see one of those with one of those HO Eco-tech alternators and some spot lights. I wonder if they have enough interior room to use as an "air and lights" truck?

Model type varies upon needs and locations of op's
Australia was used as the proving ground that set the standards world-wide for the 3 series sprinters for rapid response paramedics and emergency services associated..over 93% of emergency vehicles for ambulances are now Sprinters.

Local fire departments are now trying to muscle in on the ambos claiming it's their job so to avoid frictions between unions "Political grandstanding" it's graduating towards a share basis between the two Fire and Ambulances services, makes economic sence but has a cost to it as to duplications of services.

Sprinters range from 3 series to 5 series vehicles depending on weight configuration needs. as to costing less and cheaper to maintain over the larger rigs safety of operations outweighs the stability of the larger units resulting in less Highway accidents.

big rigs are used for H/D use in either the Mercedes range of trucks, Mitsubishi undersold states side or American units such as freightliners etc.

Mexico Sprinters are sent from Argentinian side it's a cheaper route than Germany and also costs less to build as to Mexico having a total of 44 Free trade partnerships with various countries. configurations are available in all variants, as none restrictions ä Politicals reasonsÄ as it is on the NAFTA side of America and Canada

4x4 off road variants rapid response command units, for Red Cross International

Six Tonne series this is a Sprinter believe it or not.
A definate market in the US exists for these specialized units. time will only tell.

Then again I äm totalz biased
