FWIW. Our campground camping always includes using the facilities provided. Our site selection always includes knowing how far away the facilities are.

Our porta potti use rules are that it is only used at night for tinkle. Never for anything else unless it's a dire emergency. It saves needing to tramp out to the facilities at night, but takes much of the sting out of the necessary dumping. That rule may not work for your situation depending upon where you camp and family mobility. I thought I'd throw it out there as a possibility anyway. Good luck. vic

It must have been the pic of the Dunny bumper dumper that made the difference! Further discussion has the Airhead composting toilet winning the debate. Thanks rmr1. Now I move on to making sure I have enough extra battery/solar power to run the fan continuously which seems to really be the only downside. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Never for anything else unless it's a dire emergency. Now that's illegal and cruel. I mean if your in need to do the can can, and orchestrate a musical note to play upon the Trumpet Valve, let it tremble in C to B Flat for the crowd to roar out in appreciation It saves needing to tramp out to the facilities at night, but takes much of the sting out of the necessary dumping. Now I know a good use for recycling those spare resonators you all keep in the glove-box.

That's what I call a major bowel movement.
