We bit the bullet and got a screen door installed by Advanced RV. Very pricey but sure works well and we use it constantly.

Our 2014 Free Spirit came with a factory installed screen door behind the sliding door. We us it all the time when the bugs are out.

The sliding screen door came stock on our 2013 Free Spirit. Bottom line, this is a need to have, not a nice to have. Without it, we would be fighting bugs, mosquito and months.
