Default Air conditioning not working

Hello all. I picked up my sprinter in November and never had to run my cab ac because it has been cold. Today was a warmer day so I tried running it. I had the temp set all the way down and pushed the ďA/CĒ button. It didnít light up nor did the air get cooler. I tried hitting the recirculate button and then AC. No luck. Has anyone else had this problem? Hoping itís just a fuse somewhere or something

Picture didnít come through.

You realize that unless you have ďThermotronic Automatic Climate ControlĒ (code HH4) as an option, the temperature on the display means very little. Iím in California, and itís possible that itís 67 outside, the cab feels really warm, the A/C is set to 70, yet it blows what feels like warm air coming from the vent that point at the passengers. However, there is always cold air coming from the top outlets (on the top of the dash). Not fully sure why it was designed that way, possibly to get cold air into the passengerís face while still warming up the cab.

Bring the temperature to really low, and if everything works fine, you should eventually feel cold air come from the vents that point at the passengers as well.

Will the AC button light up red like the recirculate one does? I did see a spot on the ac switch where a light would go. Mine does not light up

You can always get it checked out by the service center. Its a new van, right?

Yes it is. I just bought it at a dealership 2 hours away. I emailed the salesman I bought it from. I wasn’t expecting an email back until tomorrow but he just emailed me back to see if there is someone local I can take it to.

I would not do that. Its a new van and MB ought to take care of warranty issues. They may deny reimbursement.
Besides, dont talk to the salesman, call the service. The salesman, he is done with you, he couldn't care less if you took it to a Fiat dealership. :)
