Default Steamboat/Mammoth tips? (Hot showers wanted)

I was shocked when I went to Mammoth and found no rec center to take an affordable shower. After seasons in Breck and Aspen, I felt spoiled to have easy and cheap access to showers. But in Mammoth there is no rec center, the gyms don't have showers and the athletic club is too much for a day pass. Any advice?

I'm also heading to steamboat colorado for a week. I feel like it will be easier there but can't hurt to get some beta.

As you approach the town of Mammoth, there's a RV park on the left that (last winter, at least) had reasonable, clean showers for passers-thru. You pay at the main office.

Cool. I read online that they were only briefly hot and then mostly cold. But Iíll give them a try anyway. Thanks.

https://koa.com/campgrounds/steamboa...ngs/amenities/

I'm not sure if they (KOA) offer only 'pay for hot showers' but this facility is quite nice, open year round and provides easy access (walking to bus stop in ski boots) to the local free bus to ski mtn and virtually everywhere else in town.
The downtown hot springs-rec facility is undergoing extensive rebuilding-expansion and thus activities are severely curtailed.
Forecasts for snow appear significant later this week....be wary for the extensive ungulate wildlife (moose, elk, prong horn, deer) on the roads after dusk.
