Ditto. Temporary clip. It slides in while the visor is clipped in. It’s a shipping thing.

Do we have confirmation that it is a shipping thing and not there because of some regulation? The visor when swung to the side covers 1/2 the side window and could affect the side curtain air bag? I would think a shipping thing would be an obvious color and be easy to remove. My dealer never removes them. https://sprinter-source.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=75454

I've always assumed it was due to their use as business vehicles and is a 'feature' not something required by regs. If it was required by regs, I would expect a big sticker somewhere like you get for children and airbags... ("the rear seat is the safest", in a cargo van with no rear seats - my kids loved that one).

After the snows ended today I tested “my clip” on the visor and sure enough GLJones, Munmile, & Nhuskys were correct. Mystery solved, it fit like it was made to go there. The clip had noting to do with the battery box, it probably just fell into the box when the RV people were doing their thing.
Thank you to everyone who offered up suggestions - Tom
