Default 2016 high roof microphone

Coworker bought a 2016 highroof . The Bluetooth phone connection works but you can barely hear what heís saying. It like he is 5 feet from the microphone.
I know the microphone is suppose to be by the overhead lights but itís not there.
There was a roof repair from previous owner checking height clearance. I suspect they removed mic and itís laying up in the ceiling.
Can anyone tell me how the mic wire is routed so I can hunt for it? Hopefully I do not have to pull the liner and can get it through the light hole.

Remove the radio and see which direction the wire from the radio, left or right. It can be fitted in the overhead light pod either left or right of the lights. pulling the A pillar covers may also expose the cable.

I’ve noticed people can’t hear me if I lean forward. Sit back and all is well.
