Default Sportsmobile Class C is related to Robel Campers

Howdy Folks -

It sounds like the Sportsmobile Class C is closely related to Robel's European offernings (see http://www.sprinter-source.com/wiki/...p?title=Robel). At least this was true of the test version that Sportsmobile was working with and has since sold.

Robel is a German company that has been doing RV Conversions on the VW LT chassis (a badge-engineered Mercedes Sprinter).

Very smart choice on Sportsmobile's part. There are many very innovative RV's in Europe that are starting to turn up in the North American market. Daimler Chrysler bringing the Sprinter in to North America should help to accelerate the introduction of more of these rigs.
