Wow, third try at posting.....do I understand correctly that this can be slipped into place without removing the trim (with some trimming here and there)? Any particular source for the gasket?

The gasket (extrusion on my world) is from 8020. That said, note that they offer a few versions depending on the aluminum extrusion system. The original video (OP) used 2115 and that is what I used. Others have used different profiles with success. I can not comment on which is best/easier to work with. I can point out that I did not trim. I did notice the van's panel clips were close to the trim so a longer trim leg may need trimming. I attached a few profiles for ref. Also note the TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) versus silicone decision. It I get ambitious, I may buy a section of everything that makes sense and perform a "review".

Stumbled on this today - seems that he's using the same product.

P.S. We do have the silicon version which 8020 said would do better in the weather.

The 8020 trim is not UV resistant and its operating temperature rating is 0C - 40C. Depending on where you live, it may not last very long.

I sealed at the sources of leaks, the holes where fasteners go into the sheet metal 6 years ago. It is fixing the weak point of the problem and it works. This method is immune to UV, to highway driving in pouring rain where water splashes from everywhere.

I used 80/20 silicone seal between panels and 80/20 15 series profiles to prevent vibration so I am familiar with this product.
