Lol, no, it's not about torque, even on a five year old thread.

The reason it's so slow, is because you don't have much horsepower. All the torque in the world isn't gonna fix that.

That's because you have over 300 horsepower.

More fun to drive a car than a dump truck.

I don't place a lot of weight on 0-60 times, but I can tell you from experience that doing it in 2.5 seconds is entertaining.

Acceleration is like a fine wine ... to be savored slowly.

Normally not required but there are times when merging or passing on a highway that it is very useful. Having excess power is also useful on hills.

Recently got a ride in a McClaren. Amazing car. It was alive. Made my 718 Porsche Boxster feel like a dump truck. Everything is relative.

We had a 2016 Transit T250 Medium Roof with the 3.5L EcoBoost. 6’ headroom. Not governed to 82mph.....

It would easily roast the rear tires, and towed an over 5,000 lb car trailer like nothing. MPG was in the 16-18 range, using Regular. Around here that fuel is 25-50 cents per gallon less, so operating fuel cost is similar.

We have what is probably the quickest Sprinter, a basic standard roof 118”. It keeps up with traffic and has respectable acceleration at “Getting on highway” speeds. 0-60 isn’t really a “real world” performance measure, 20-40 or 30-60 is a lot more important.

My track bike is a Suzuki GSX-R750, one of many street motorcycles that will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds: again, never done it. You can start accelerating at 60mph and it will rip your face off....

What year GSX-R750?

What kind of track activities do you do with it? Road racing? Track days? Drag racing? What class(es) and/or groups?

I have a motorcycle too.
