My favourite comment on this subject was given by a ten year old kid in some other YouTube video I watched. He was attending a panel show with Neil deGrass Tyson and Stephen Colbert.

After Tyson had explained some of the distances and times and imponderables alluded to in this video, the kid stood up and asked a question of the two.

"How do you guys figure this stuff out?"

Loneliness is lessened when we are comfortable with our own company.

No one can fill me because I am filled with the unconditional love of my source. Instead, I accept all that I know: that I and all whom I encounter can only augment each other.

A gentle touch, a hug, a kind word can change not only someone's day, but their entire life.

Today I will reach outwards toward others with loving kindness and compassion, particularly when I don't want to.

Our need to be logical is our greatest detriment. There is so much beyond what our brains can comprehend that we often miss the subtleties while trying to understand. When we can relax our defenses we are completely available to ourselves and therefore all else.

Today I release the need to know or understand anything, allowing myself to free flow without needing to know where I am going.

An expectation is a disappointment waiting to happen.

This day I realize that no one has a clue what I expect of them and therefore can't please me. Instead, I open to everything others might contribute to my day and I to theirs.

Every circumstance is lined with motivations . . . ours, and those of others. The important thing to focus on is ours. What others intend really has nothing to do with us unless we follow their intentions instead of our own, and that rarely works.

Why no longer matters, nor does how or when or where; just that I am is all that I need to be and others will follow me there.

Life's lessons are not punishment for anything we have done wrong. They are opportunities we give ourselves to expand our awareness and make different choices next time.

Today, instead of resisting my disappointments, I will celebrate them as opportunities that will bring me far more than any mistake ever could have.
