Default T1 Work truck Forum

Hey Seek, was wondering if its possible to have a Sub Forum in the T1 main forum just for Work trucks. Seems a lot of 2500 issues don't relate to us 3500 work truck guys. I get down when I see mileage claims then realize its the light weights talking...

T1 3500 Work trucks as a title?

Anyway just an idea.

I have no problem with it.

We could take a poll on it if you want or just have people voice their comments in this thread.

If it makes sense, then we'll probably have to do this for the NCV3's.

My two cents: Having a commerical sub-forum for both generations is worth a try.

At this time I don't see a clear need other than to give a place for commerical users to talk about fuel consumption and fuel-saving techniques and measures.

However, I am for the creation of a commerical sub-forum because I see the creation of a commercial subforum as explicitly invitational.

If I were a commerical concern, I'd probably last through 100 Sprinter-Source postings about Wagons and RVs before I left.

Commerical users who don't want to process (or skip) all the posts about the family oriented, people movers may feel more welcome to talk about commercial owner/operator concerns, upfitting experiences, home-grown/engineered solutions etc.

So yeah, I'm for a commerical subforum. What's the worst that could happen?

I'd also say that further segregation (3xx/4xx/5xx cdi, 2500/3500 crd, chassis/cargo/shuttle etc, etc) will push limit of benefit, crossing over towards diminishing returns.

So, how do you think we should structure it?

T1N 2500
T1N 3500

Write-Ups
Database

or something else...

T1N Talk
T1N Commercial
Write-Ups
Database

The same for NCV3's?

I'd just add T1N Commercial & NCV3 Commerical.

I don't think there will be a Commerical-specific database info from the manufacturer.

Write-Ups may start piling up with focus on Commercial-specific info, but I think there's more cross-over between Wagon and Commerical modifications to justify not splitting them up.... at least for now.
