About the classifieds section...

Looks like I'm late to the conversation. I purchased a sprinter from the forum about a year and a half ago. The ad for the sprinter had a ton of build out details, dates and somewhat important information about the solar and electric systems. I of course thought the ad would be up forever just like all the other posts so never copied anything. Recently went to find the ad so I could reference some info and of course it is now gone forever. I would definitely vote to keep classifieds forever. Not only can they provide reference like in this case, but can also help buyers and sellers figure out appropriate pricing if they spend the time to cycle through them.

The post may possibly still be available if you know the approximate date.

Give Wayback Archive a try... I've found this website extremely helpful.

Good luck!

*Excited to finally figure out how to multi-post and in hopes it will also help others find what they thought was lost forever! :professor:

My two cents: this will remove some threads that are still very useful.

For example, last month I bought a magnetic window cover from another forum member on the "For Sale - Parts Only" subforum. This is a member who manufactures these window coverings to order, and as such has a standing "for sale" thread that does not get regular updates, but is still active. Right now that thread is gone, and I don't know how I would find this seller again were I to want to.
I had a couple threads made up of some stuff I am selling, and a couple upgrade parts I am looking for. I just went to re-up the thread, and its gone. Are they gone for good? It would be nice to not have to re-figure my for sale and wanted threads....
A perfect example was some detail about NCV3 alternator choices posted by VanFan. It happened to be in the For Sale section.

Unfortunately the thread got deleted.
