Hi Eric
We are still interested as well.
Would have been ideal for us to arrange it in the coming weeks as we will cross from west to east but then happy to take a week or two in the coming months after we settle back to Sydney to attend the gathering as well
I am keen to push it to the limits as long as we have you on board :)
Cheers

Fuel consumption is an issue across the Simpson. Last time I did it I carried 2 jerry cans, I put one in just before Birdsvile as I was low and did not want the complications of running out but could have made it. I am not saying you should try to do it with just the standard tank, we need to have a reserve if the track is wet or damaged. We can pool our supply if necessary. we need water for about 4 days. There is a shower at Purnie bore but apart from that no water. Eric.

Thanks for the heads up Eric, We have a 125ltr fuel tank, a couple of jerrycans, and 80ltr water tank plus an outdoor shower all of which we are happy to share.
Regards Perce
