High altitude pump alternative for Espar D4?

Found this thread about clamping the fuel supply. Seems to have worked. I am not 100% clear on the Espar they are performing this on, but it might be the one under the hood from Mercedes, not the van heater. Although the thread starts our talking about a D4.

We have used the Mercedes installed Espar at 8000 ft without issue, but have not tried the van heater at this altitude because of the other reports of it not working (we only have the standard pump). I suppose the hydronic Espar is a bit more altitude tolerant.... Or are we pressing our luck using it at high altitude?
