Hello

I need to replace my 6 speed gearbox, the numbers on the gearbox are as follows:-

A 906 260 10 00

There are another set of numbers 711.651 0 0 347 789

Does anyone know what the second set of numbers are?

Would any gearbox with the same A906 number fit?

Thanks

Hi and welcome,

The 906 260 number is the 'Object Number' and 711.620 is the 'Major Assembly Number' for the transmission.

Pull your Data Card from https://www.lastvin.com/ and they will be listed under 'Major assemblies'.

I would think any transmission with the same numbers should be a straight swap.

Thanks for the prompt response

Do you mean any 906 260 10 00 box would fit or

I need a box with 711.651.0.0.347.789 on it?

Thanks

I think both numbers must match.

The same casing may be used in other applications, eg MB cars, but then you may have different gear ratios giving a different assembly number.
