Aftermarket Radio Double Din Install Kit

What's the best radio install kit out there? The Scosche has poor reviews, hows the metra? Looking to go with the one without any gaps, and as close to oem finish. Also if its advertised as a 2007 will it fit my 2016? I know the harness adapter will be different.

Here is a writeup I did when installing a double din stereo in my 2016 Sprinter. The Scoshe dash kit did require trimming as it has extra tabs molded into it so that it can work with various fitments. I haven't used any other kits, so I can't compare what is best. I just know this worked well for me. The wiring harness adapter also worked well.

The scosche faceplate wasn't a great fit for the Sony XAV100 head unit. Had to grind it down to bring the head unit far enough forward to be flush. However, it looks sufficiently stock.

I also bought (but didn't use) a faceplate made by American International. That even had the same surface pattern as the stock plastic and was a good color match.

My install is here: https://sprintervanusa.com/2017/08/01/adding-an-aftermarket-stereo-head-unit-to-a-sprinter/

The Scosche kit is poor. The one DieselFumes used is for vans that didn't come with a factory radio, but even with the correct kit, it has problems. The AI MBK150 is a better kit IMHO.
