Default Going Bush, Do you carry 2 Jacks?

When going bush in our Land Cruiser I carry a Trolley Jack as well as the standard LC Jack, in one instance needed 2 Trolley jacks to remove a rear tyre/wheel after a blowout. (Vehicle at a bad angle to the horizontal)

Recently had to changeover a rear tyre with the tyre on the Sprinter half flat so no probs with the Sprinter jack. But if the tyre was completely flat maybe the Sprinter jack would not have been sufficient and it would habe been a challenge to remove the tyre with wood/bricks etc(if available) to gradually raise the vehicle so I could get the jack under neath.

So thought of buying another 2000Kg small Hydraulic jack to enable me to get the vehicle up to a sufficient height to put the sprinter jack underneath to do its job.

Hopefully the small Hydraulic jack can live with the sprinter jack under the passenger floor.

Comments..

Checked out the Sprinter Jack, if the tyre is dead flat eg after a blowout the Sprinter Jack is to high to get under the rear axle, so will carry a second small jack and base plate. Ok, so I can dig a hole under the axle to put in a base plate and the sprinter jack.... maybe not.

Richard in regard to your other comments, The exhaust airbag. good idea, but to bulkie for our vehicles storage we do not have a vehicle similar to Oldf..ts but a standard LWB Van. As prevuiosly mentioned slime NBG in regard to blow outs.

How many trees in your bush? I've cut down a good sized pole and built a fulcrum from sawn log sections or boulders; 'give me a long enough lever and a fulcrum and I can move the earth'. Not sure if there are jacking places on the frame to do that without body damage though. I like Richard's balloon thingy.

Do you carry a plank in your offroad kit? Driving the flattened tire onto it would give you more jack clearance.

The air body lift bag runs off exhaust, will lift any vehicle at any angle on varying sub soil structures.
Folds away flat pack one foot by 9 inches, stores just under between the battery tray and front the headlight frame+ = space saver.
No 12 v air pumps required.
As for digging holes in Australian soil!,Get real Man we have very nasty critters that can kill in ten seconds flat.

As for snakes in WA Hell they're longer than the van

Windsprinter, Sometimes wood/decent size trees are not always available, Bert, Carry a jack base plate 2 inches thick, but of course cannot be used under the wheel and under the jack, could of course carry a second block of wood, but will carry the second small jack 2000kg with a 100mm (4inch) lift and small rectangular footprint, adjacent to the Sprinter jack under the passenger floor.

Richard, will give the Body lift air bag a miss and instead take away extra pair of jeans and 2 pairs of socks in its place.
