Any experience here on this device? I was looking at those scanners while at O'reillys yesterday.

I have read these scanner forums and having a Ford Escape Hybrid makes a multi use scanner more attractive. Seeing a CEL on a hybrid scared me into spending more than I needed to for a belt, tensioner and thermostat at $785.00. I agreed to pay $130 just to get a diagnostic when we dropped it off. I'd a had enough for two fancy sixpacks and scanner if I would have thought to get a scanner like this!

I have been driving my Sprinter with intermittent CEL and overdue maintenance reminders for 19k miles all the while doing my own maintenance without reseting the lights.

I work on hybrids and although I think predominantly Toyota with factory training as being the best hybrid for the common man (or woman for that matter!) I do have some limited Ford training on the vehicle you have.
What I will tell you is that the only way to comprehensively scan and attend to fault codes is by using a Ford IDS scanner based tool.
The tool you are discussing is rudimentary at best and in any case Ford has config'd its controls much more intricately than Toyota which licensed the system to Ford.

In many cases do be careful of anything pertaining to hybrid control and HV battery system controls are concerned.
Incorrect repair methods and inexperience together can lead to HV DC current shocks which can be fatal. So do beware!
