Default TIP: Use Computer-Safe Testers

Who knew?

Pat Goss on today's MotorWeek says modern auto electronics can be damaged by using old analog voltmeters/ohmeters, and even circuit testers. Apparently, these older testers may pass damaging current to today's auto electronics.

So need to use testers which say "computer-safe."

And old testers become collectibles only, not back-up tools.
