Our Westies have impossible/hard to replace parts like battery.charger, etc.
I use a portable Progressive Industries EMS30 surge protector (newer version now available). It does not allow power to Westy until it checks for correct wiring, voltage, etc., and will also cutoff power if low or high voltage.
At one campground, I found shorepower wires were not wired properly. At another campground, voltage dropped and Progressive cutoff the power.
With a 15 amp male/30 female adapter, can also be used when Westy is plugged into a regular 15 amp household circuit.
With solar, don't use shorepower as much but always use this surge protector whenever plugging in.
Note: With a 15 amp male/30 amp female adapter, you can also use this to test every receptacle in your house for proper wiring and sufficient voltage.
