Default 2014-2016 Sprinter Recall

Anyone have any news on this topic? I'm looking to buy a 2014-16 2.1 170 Ext. 2500 in a year or so just waiting for depreciation to level out. I see people asking the same price as new with 50,000 miles!


Should I buy now and hold and wait for a buy back or wait another year or two? The VW's 09-14 Tdi's were hard to find and got more expensive about 6 months after they announced diesel gate in late 15 early 16.

Anybody see the recall in the news headlines... I wonder what this all means hopefully they won't do a buy back! Need to keep these 4 cylinders on the road until they find a replacement to offer on the new market. I hear reports of 27-30 MPG on the 2.1. V6 not quite pulling those numbers.

I just got 31 MPG, driving with no wind, in some rain, with 10% stop and go traffic. Amazing!
Hope the software update doesn't lower the MPG.

The reason for no headlines in NAFTA is that it does not apply to NAFTA Sprinters. See https://sprinter-source.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=80163
