Inexpensive Ladder Racks

$10 electrical channel & bicycle hooks @ Home Depot/ Lowes. The hooks slide very easily in the channel. one person can handle a 8' ladder with no problem.

That is a most elegant solution.

What's anchoring/suspending the electrical channel(s)?

#12 self-tapping screws with fender & rubber-backed washers (they keep road vibration from loosening the screws) into the roof supports. The hooks bolt to the sliding anchors & when tightened they bottom out into the channel preventing it from moving. Electricians use this setup for their work, though I'm not exactly sure how.
