Did an internet search...

P1955 Glow Plug Control Module 2 to PCM Comm. Circuit Range/Performance

...whether is it correct is another story.

DTC is made up of 5 digits.

Example: P0101

1st digit
B-Body
C-Chassis,
P-Powertrain
U-Network

2nd digit
0 Generic
1 Manufacturer specific

3rd digit
1 Air & Fuel Metering
2 Air & Fuel Metering (Injector Circuit)
3 Ignition System or Misfire
4 Auxiliary Emissions Controls
5 Vehicle Speed Controls And Idle Control System
6 Computer Output Circuit
7 Transmission
8 Transmission

4th & 5th digit Identifies what section of the system is malfunctioning

So, P-1955
"P" is powertrain
"1" is Manufacturer specific
"9" is a mystery.

I know that does not help you but it breaks down some of it..

On NCV3s, generic ODB scan tools (in my personal experience, but not others') provide an error code that is a bogus number, but sometimes it's an accurate description; and sometimes both the integer and the description are way off base.

Most, maybe all the codes your 2007 Sprinter might register are in the attachments of this posting:

The correct tools to use in reading the error codes are Chrysler's WiTECH or MB Star Diagnosis System, which are typically only found in dealerships or well-equipped independent auto repair businesses.

I strongly recommend that you take it in to a shop you trust and with whom you have worked well in the past and have it methodically diagnosed.
