Paint type lower panels

Hi all,

I have searched but not found any information on what paint is used for the lower panels (the grey section). Type, colour code etc. Does anyone have an idea?

Think the consensus was that the lower panel gray is some type of sticker.

Several people have used bedliner for the lower panels. The bedliner can go up to the line at the top of the headlights or the line at the top of the bumpers.

My first try was with a product called Hammerite (an equivalent to POR15) in semimat finish. The standard grey is far from our original but I’ll try mixing with some black and see what happens.

My first impression is that the paint (despite the wrong colour) gives a nice and smooth finish even when applied with a brush. If I decide to use it I’ll probably use a spray gun.

I have now ordered a couple of spray cans with base coat colour 7354 and 2K clear coat (mat finish).
I’ll report back with the result once I have painted the panels.
