So far only 1 trip on my I4, 2015 long/tall bus.
22.7 mpg recorded on 350 miles trip. CC set to 70 mph, what turned about 68 actual mph.
That include going around Los Angeles (heavy traffic) and some winds on desert.

It is the V6 engine that impacts the mileage the most followed by the added ride height of a 4x4. The 4x4 drivetrain has minimal impact on the fuel mileage.

Many 4x4 owners like myself then go with even larger tires and/or lifts which does not help mileage.

This is all true. And most 4x4s also have stuff on the roof......Solar panels and racks. Plus vent fans.
Even when I have 4wd drive engaged, it does not change my fuel mileage appreciably.

I've been seeing 18-19mpg this winter in ski travels. The last tank was 19.5!

"Ski travels" include trips up the mnts (Boulder at 5500ft to Eldora at 9000+ft or over mnt passes of 12,000ft to get to Mary Jane), all camping gear and bed out of the van, skis/snowboard gear for 4 (i.e. light weight load), with some short in-town drives mixed in.

Super happy with 18-19mpg! We see 17-18mpg in the summer over the same routes carrying all the camp gear (still <7500lbs).

2008 tall, short NCV3 with V6. GDE tune. Not much on roof: two 100 way solar panels, but they're mounted low to try to maximize aerodynamics.

21.5 - 22 mpg highway speeds, less in town.

The poll would be more useful if it separated V6 v. I4, 2WD v. 4 WD, but it is interesting reading.

144" wheel base with short roof. Two 100 watt solar panels on the roof along with Fantastic model vent fan. Moderate interior build out, guessing 750 lbs in total. Mileage is 12.2/100 km or 20.5 miles/ US gallon. V6 diesel, 2WD. I was hoping the fuel economy would be better but on the other hand it is a beast of a truck....

What's penthouse top?
The mpg seems to be pretty low for small Sprinter and 50 mph average. Even calculating roof boxes and assuming you have V6 ?

Penthouse is a Sportsmobile pop-top that sticks up about 6" above the vehicle roof when the penthouse is down. I have the same, without the other stuff. My 2.1L 4 got 23.8 on a 8,000 mile trip this summer (66 mph max). This is calculated from total miles and total fuel, not the dash display. The display only shows part of the trip. I'd be crying if I got 16.x for a whole trip!

Lately I have 1/2 a year to the tank.
I did couple of trips after my conversion, where extra weight + roof vents and solar are expected to lower mpg, yet still recorded 21.8 mpg and that include some idling while playing with scanners and some idling for AC only.
Not even trying to estimate how 35 miles of gravel road at 40 mph affected my average.
