Just finished a 1000+ mile round trip of CA. 144 low roof with oversized tires which aren't helping. Went up and town a couple of mountains including tahoe. Ended the trip north of 19.5 mpg. I can't put my finger on an exact number but I feel like i'm paying 2-4 mpg in the 17" wheels and oversized KO2s. I can hear the resistance.
If you are going by the miles on the speedo. You need to do some math. You are actually covering a little more ground with the tires that what the speedo says. there are some mileage calculators on line. The 17 inch ko's are larger in diameter.

Take a beer can. put a mark on it. make one complete roll and stop it. Mark that spot on table. Take a red bull can do the same. You get the picture

fill up at on ramp . Do a road trip on free way 100-200 miles. Get off and fill again. Use google maps, driving to get miles from GPS. Compare to 100 0r 200 miles on speedo to get an idea how far off you are. probably getting an extra 3-5 miles covered for every 100 by speedo. Very curious to see results of that test

Dynaco1 - I thought you were getting a 4cylinder?
After much back and forth size and motor, I've finally decided 4 cylinder 144 crew. If can't locate with both comfort seats & Cruise control, a cargo would be fine with headliner, windows & such...

Hello guys, first post but lots more to come during buildout. We flew to Wisconsin on Halloween and picked up a slightly used 2019 144 cargo high top diesel. 2000 miles home to northern AZ mostly highway speed but varied it for break-in. 20.3 mpg overall using fuel receipts and odometer. not a hitch with this amazing platform!

I figured 19 to 21 actual MPG would be about right given the new transmission with 2 over drive gear ratios

My 2019 2500 170 Diesel Passenger is averaging 18.5 on mixed highway and city driving over 3000 miles. I generally put the adaptive cruise control on 82 on the highway.

What tire pressures are you running. Cold AM pressures?

I have it at 46 and 61, but get my teeth rattled a few times.
40/60

My mpgs is mostly likely because I drive like an old man.

Ok I don't understand some the basics. We just purchased a 2019 144" 4x4 Diesel and had it converted here in Portland. You folks are always referring to model numbers for the chassis and engines, how do I determine what "Model Numbers: I have.....hope this makes sense

Hi there Guys,
another test on fuel use
my 2019 VS30 high roof ,MWB 144 v6 auto 4x4 run over 800km of driving on open road. 38 degrees Celsius outside , air / con running , 110km/h ,150-200 kg gear inside, 60 psi in tyres , fiamma awning, large solar panel and frame and running rail on roof.

Actual use was 11.6 litre/100km over that distance. ( this was fuel used , not from dash computer ).

Hope this helps.

What tire pressures are yall runnin in your vans?
I have the upsized 265.75.16 on stock wheels. 46 seemed low. And 70 in the rear for an empty van was too high.
Afraid to go too low as it may affect the mileage as well.

Road trip from San Diego to Park City in my 2019 4x4 v6 diesel and managed 14.5 MPG average over the last 900 miles. Granted I was driving 80 mph on the way here. Driving around the mountains that last 200 miles, hitting upwards of 18mpg. 4% offset due to larger tires. Not terrible. My Quigley e350 would get about 10mpg on the same drive (maxing out at 70mph).

Was that in 4x4 mode?
