Here's a view from the rim of Bryce Canyon this year .... as far as i can tell (getting an accurate map that lets me really locate it is strangely difficult), the current mining lease is more or less where i've placed the arrow. Precisely which of those ridges is "it" is uncertain, and i think it's along the line-of-sight towards Navajo Mtn.
