Quiet Ride Acousti Shield insulation kit - anyone used these or something similar?

Howdy all. Im a newbie and have been scanning this site obsessively for the past few months. I am very close to starting a new build and have been researching insulation options pretty heavily. So many different products out there! For the build I am trying to figure out which things I can handle on my own and which options might be better left to a pro upfitter. Insulation seems like a reasonable thing to handle depending on the materials. I live in WY and will be using the van a lot in winter for skiing and camping so I really want a well insulated van top to bottom that can handle moisture from wet gear. Our climate is fairly dry here which is a good thing but still want to be sure I consider issues with moisture.

I just came across these guys http://www.quietride.com/

They have this pre-cut kit with dynamat and thermal insulation for sprinters http://www.quietride.com/web/viewer.html?file=http://www.quietride.com/catalogpdfs/Sprinter_catalog.pdf

For the price this pre-cut kit seems like a great option. Is anyone familiar with the Quiet Ride product as a solution for campervans?

I have seen other kits such as those at RBComponents and read about Thinsulate and reflectix and on and on... Any other suggestions would of course be welcomed.

Thanks!

Didn't use this kit, but I just did the dynamat extreme in my van and will likely finish with thinsulate.

As always, start with the question of "what's the R value of what they call the heat absorber/barrier panels". Then compare that R value to other forms of easy to use insulation material that have proven successful on this Sprinter forum. Cutting and installing bulk insulation material is definitely a DIY project. For WY I'd for sure want the highest R value possible.

3M Thinsulate(TM) is more affordable and offers better noise and thermal performance than their kit. Please PM me for a sample or feel free to call for more information.
