Wondering who drives with the roof vent open.
we have external covers installed
Nice - but a Leisure Travel Unity isn't a van so there are no louvered vents like what you show.We have the built-in rain shield on our MaxxAir, and thus it's open on any warm day.
For that matter, it remains open all summer when simply parked.
The only times we close it are dusty/smokey conditions .... or simply too cold.
--dick (the avatar photo <-- shows it open)
p.s. the Sprinters all have louvered vents in the rear bottom quarter panels.
Much closer to tail pipes. . But they're there (and in all modern cars) to encourage air flow.
(that's a T1N, they're in a similar location in the NCV3)
This has happened to me once while driving on a freeway. Haven't opening my roof vent since. When you drive with a vent open, you will creat a low Pressure inside which can result in pulling odor from the waste tanks into the coach.
Inside? All the time, my Flettner vent pulls all the stale air out when it's windy or when I drive.
I've never had any issues either, but like you, I don't have a Unity.Pretty much have never driven with mine closed and never had sewer or exhaust smells inside
X2 on this one !!When you drive with a vent open, you will creat a low Pressure inside which can result in pulling odor from the waste tanks into the coach.
Meaning the drains? We have driven with ours open for years and learned long ago to close all sink vents to prevent tank gases from coming inside the MH.
Yes.Meaning the drains?
