Some other good dimensions I wish I'd kept before I buttoned everything up are the locations of the various body members. Good to know when you're trying to attach stuff. All I have is some photos.

I just thought I'd post this here in case it's usefull to someone:

Hello everyone!

I put some time into drawing my van before I start the build. This is my "preliminary" CAD, as I will refine a few details/holes, but the main geometry is here.

My reference "zero" mark is the parting line in the body, where the headliners ends.

The "accurante" dimensions in the file are the interior dimensions.

Things I will do more acuratly are :
-Rear section
-Floor ribs (for the moment, the CAD shows the low portion of the floor, not the top of the ribs)

Let me know if you want me to post furutre updates! Hope this helps someone

Thanks Luc, "updates" are always appreciated!

All of the links however that you posted aren't working.

*Perhaps try a URL shortener like http://tinyurl.com/

Thanks luc and autostaretx, it appears a program is needed to open those files. If possible a screenshot is much appreciated. (snag.gy as seen below works great)

If others unable to see pictures I just now found out you have to check a box as seen here: https://snag.gy/DXgjV6.jpg

Yes indeed, the files are intended for anybody using 3D design software like SolidWorks for example. If you do not have software that can input any of the file formats I've shared, there is no use.

Nevertheless, I will post some pictures here so that you have an idea of what it looks like

Yes, those files are for interchange between drafting programs (i don't have any app that will open them either)

Based upon that image, you also are not seeing people's signature blocks... so you're possibly missing useful information
(mine includes the URL of a Sprinter service data site)

If you use the "postcard" icon above the message-editing box, (and slightly hack the snaggy site address)
you can make that too-wide image appear here in your message:

(that involved merely adding an "i." after the // in your URL. ) https :// i. snag.gy / DXgjV6.jpg

Thanks much, looks really cool what one can create with that software!

Thank you so much for these files! Extremely useful!

I went ahead and converted your file from .step to .skp for those who want to open it in the free and (relatively) easy to learn Google SketchUp (without adding and extension to convert files).

And for you budding CAD designers, download SketchUp 2017 here:

Once again, thank you.

This may also help. Thanks Dave.

I’m getting ready to fab up a roof rack in the next two weeks and I was wondering if anyone had the distance from the gutter rail o.c. driver side to gutter rail o.c. passenger side on the T1Nhigh top? If not I’ll climb up there and figure it out!
Width from leg to leg is 65-1/4” on centre, which was confirmed by standing on the rear bumper with a helper and sighting forward along the troughs.

YMMV, but I expect this dimension is the same for the various body and roof options?
