Kind of a joke as this site has got a LOT more Winnebago and LTV. I am not even sure how long it has been they put out an RV in the name Thor, there might be more Forest River RVs. And although they own Airstream most people don't think "Thor" Airstream. There are a lot of Airstreams here too.

Sorry, my humor may be too wonky, but I did a LOT of updates to the Sprinter Wiki when it was starting out, so it was right up my alley.

Picking up my 2007 MB Sportsmobile Sprinter on June 21st in Indiana. It'll be a nice trip home. Looking forward to learning about all the ins & outs of the hook ups.

Just returned from Florida after picking up my 2008/2010 Coach House Platinum 11 241 XL with 2 couches. It was beautiful, had only 10,000 miles on it. It Handled well, and attrated a lot of attention which was odd an uncomfortable.
Excited about trips, and becoming involved with the community

A few issues with it being dried up in Florida for a while
Very interesting coach. Hope I got a good one.

My Freightliner Chassis Gulfstream is B class which is the width of the cab all the way back. I didn't want a B+ which gets wider behind the cab because I perceived better fuel economy from less wind resistance. I wanted the earlier 5 cylinder for same fuel economy reason. We do about 80,000 miles a year and are happy with this combination. I would think most would want the bigger B+ but this could be another poll?

I am with you. The 5 banger is more efficient than the 6 that came out in 2007. I got focused on the MPG too. Unfortunately the Gulf Stream had the low gear ratio in the differential, great for climbing mountains, but sucked when going over 55 MPH. I was able to get about 21 average, but the Forest River and Pleasure Way folks were claiming a bit more. The real problem was how tight it was. Great for one, I loved the G-24 layout with the bump outs instead of rear side windows allowing us to sleep left to right instead of front to back. But to move from the back to the front required getting the other person to sit down. It didn't help that I never got hot water in there.

I started looking for another RV and the Serenity caught my eye. It has the wider body and the full compliment of RV appliances (water heater), but in a form factor only 9.5 feet tall, just like the Gulf Stream. No seams in the roof to rust and leak, no metal body to be damaged and rust. The aerodynamic body gave it the best MPG of the big Sprinters as it was B+ not C, the only B+ on the T1N. I get better than 18 MPG on average, maybe 22 highway. Unfortunately it has the high differential that the Gulf Stream did not, so I have to downshift too often.
