Mod delete or no mod delete? That is the question.

Hi Dick. My experience, if the OP deletes the first post it wipes all succeeding posts. I didn't want to delete because it must activate a loud klaxson arousing the moderator (Daddy) from a peaceful slumber. DDS! DONT DELETE $HIT

"Delete thread" no longer appears in Thread Tools.

That may be (in part) due to being beyond the 24 (48?)) hour Edit time window.

Having been bestowed upon me, by a moderator held in great esteem, the dubious title and honor of forum's very first "Deleter-in-Chief." I can authenticate, you are correct. Must delete prior to "Edit" button expiration. Actual shelf-life unknown.

The Edit shelf life is tied too the completing of a single Earth axis rotation.

I'm curious why the delete feature expires? Seems to me, once testing is completed it should be deleted by OP? Or, are they preserved for reference?
