Default Alignment Procedure

I haven't found a shop that has done a proper alignment on a 3500 Sprinter. At one shop they checked with their suppliers and found that there are replacement eccentric bolts so that camber can be adjusted. Is this what all shops do? Is there anything special needed for toe-in or caster adjustment, if necessary?

Has anyone on Vancouver Island, BC found a shop that has experience in aligning Sprinters?

Camber and toe-in are adjustable. Caster is not. Demand to receive a post-alignment print-out.

Camber is not adjustable on 2010 Sprinter 3500. Perhaps it is on later Sprinters.

The original equipment does not include camber adjustment capabilitiy, but you can add additional parts. example:

When I called the local MB dealer for an alignment, they wanted to start with a set of bolts.

the bolts from MB are about $200 retail, if I recall correctly, but labor brings it up to closer to $500. you do have to take quite a bit of the front suspension out to get these in.

I ended up taking mine to a local place that does lots of tires for trucks including sprinters, and they did not use bolts. they also did not provide me any detailed numeric alignment results, but the thing seems to drive ok.

I have installed camber bolts into a couple chevys myself, (trailblazer and a cobalt) and in each case, with the camber trued up ride was much better.
